Remembrance Day is a day for all Canadians to remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. It is a day we encourage every individual, young and old, to pause, to give thanks and to remember. There are Canadian veterans living in poverty and lacking the basic necessities in food, clothing and shelter.

South Calgary Ringette Association has arranged for Veterans Association Food Bank donation boxes to be located at Flames Community Arenas outside the Blue Arena from November 5 to 15. Please consider safely dropping off donations of non-perishable food items on your way to your team’s scheduled practices or games at FCA – while respecting the facility protocols.

As an association, we believe it is important to show our support in our community and find ways to give back. Thank you for supporting the Veterans Association Food Bank, a charitable organization run by veterans for veterans.
