Trails West Hockey Association pleased to have been selected by Hockey Alberta to host the 2023 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships for the Tier 1 Under 18 Non-Body Checking Minor Hockey Division (“U18 NBC1”).

The tournament is being jointly organized by the Trails West U18 NBC 1 Red and White teams (“Host Teams”), both of which will be competing in the tournament. The event will take place on April 7 to 9, 2023 at the Flames Community Arena in Calgary. As an official Host Site for the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, we are provided the unique opportunity to provide athletes with an experience that they will remember for a lifetime.

This is the first ever U18 NBC 1 tournament being held in Alberta and will feature the top NBC players from Edmonton and Calgary. The Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships provide some of the most exciting fast-paced and high profile minor hockey in the province and is projected to attract over 120 participants, and an estimated 500 visitors and spectators.

The 12-game tournament will be played from April 7 to 9, with the Championship Final scheduled for Sunday, April 9. This is the only Provincial Championship tournament being held in Calgary during the scheduled dates.

The Host Teams are seeking sponsor to help fund the costs of the tournament, which includes the cost of the tournament ice, on-ice officials and other various costs to host the event. In return for your sponsorship, we are offering various levels of advertising within the tournament program and at the venue for the duration of the tournament. This is an excellent opportunity to support youth sports and the local community.
