2010 – 11 CENTRAL ZONE REFEREE CLINICS
As a new season starts to rev up, the registration process continues to change and evolve.
Highlights for this season are:
- All officials will need to pay & register for a clinic online.
- Clinic on line payment will continue to be processed from our web site via goaline.
- Credit cards & cheque/cash will still be honored. All cheque/cash payments need to be made in person.
- This is a rule change year so all officials will be charged for a rule book/case book combination.
- Workbooks – are mandatory for all level 1 officials.
- Supplies can be delivered or picked up.
- Actual registration for a clinic will be done via the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR).
- Level Zone & Provincial Fees have been reduced this year – see the clinic fees link for costs breakdown.
Please ensure you read through the instructions on how to fill out the payment section on our
website as well as the tips on how to properly register yourself for a clinic on the Hockey Canada Registry. These instructions will be on the web site along with the payment registration form.

Coaches/Managers will need to submit requests for officials in a timely manner. Officials are not guaranteed. Obviously, the more notice given, the greater the chance of your request being filled. For Trails West 4 days if at all possible.
CZRC Assigned – Weeknight games – minimum of 1 week
Weekend games – minimum 1-2 weeks
Minimum three days cancellation is also required. If they cannot fill the game you can try Arlene and she may be able to help.
These lead times are based on the referee availability at certain times of the week and the availability of assignors to act on your request.
A Final Note…
Most of our officials are young teenagers. Although each of them attends a Central Zone certification clinic each year, they will make mistakes. They are learning how to officiate the game just as your children are learning to play the game. Please treat them with respect. All officials have the complete support of the Trails West Minor Hockey Association. Abuse of an official will not be tolerated.
